Lit Protocol Raises $1.1M in Community Sale

Lit Protocol, a decentralized key management network for signing and encryption, has officially concluded its community sale, raising $1.1M through the Legion.cc platform and other venues. The sale, which ran from March 24 - March 28, was an opportunity for token investors to support secure and autonomous secret management as a base layer Web3 application development. Welcoming more than 275 participants across 53 countries, this sale marks the start of a pivotal next chapter for Lit Protocol.

The Path Ahead

With the sale complete, the Lit Protocol v1 mainnet and official $LITKEY token launch move closer on the horizon. The Token Generation Event (TGE) is scheduled for Q3 2025, to be quickly followed by the Lit v1 mainnet launch, Naga. The mainnet will include significant performance improvements, new signing algorithms (including more secure Solana support), and the ability for the network to scale through Shadow Splicing, enabling faster, more efficient decentralized signing, encryption, and compute operations across any chain or network.

As of April 14, 2025, Lit Protocol’s new open source delegation framework for AI agents, Vincent, is officially live. Vincent enables the secure delegation of onchain operations to AI agents, from dollar-cost averaging to finding the best yield for your tokens to setting up an elaborate and automated copy-trading scheme. For agent developers, Vincent provides an intuitive and composable framework for building agent-enabled tools and applications and will serve as a marketplace and explorer for end users.
