Check your Eligibility for the Lit Protocol Airdrop
The Lit Protocol Airdrop Eligibility Check is now live.
You can visit the staking portal today to verify your eligibility ahead of the claim window opening on October 30 at 00:00 UTC, the same time as the $LITKEY Token Generation Event (TGE).
When claiming opens, staking will go live alongside it. Eligible participants will be able to claim their tokens and immediately stake or delegate them to validators participating in the v1 mainnet staking contest.
Airdrop Eligibility Criteria
The Season 1 Lit Protocol Airdrop is designed to recognize and reward early contributors who played a meaningful role in bootstrapping the Lit ecosystem ahead of the v1 launch.
This initial token distribution will be allocated to a diverse set of participants across multiple categories:
- Node Operators who supported early testnet deployments and secured network activity during the Habanero, Datil and Naga testnet phases.
- Builders who shipped applications, SDKs, or tooling leveraging Lit infrastructure.
- Integration Partners who embedded Lit signing, encryption, or compute into their protocols or products.
- Quest Participants who completed tasks in community activations such as the Ciphernaut’s Path and other related campaigns.
- Discord Contributors who helped moderate, educate, and onboard new users into the Lit ecosystem.
- Other Select Contributors identified for their direct impact on network operations, growth, or education during the early phases of Lit.
Each of these groups helped establish the foundation of the Lit Protocol network and surrounding ecosystem. The Season 1 distribution acknowledges their effort in building the systems, products, and communities that have brought Lit to this stage.
Claiming the Airdrop
Airdrop claiming will go live following the Lit TGE on October 30 at 00:00 UTC.To claim your tokens, you can visit the Lit Staking Portal and follow the steps to connect your eligible wallet and claim your allocation.
When you claim, you’ll have the option to delegate your tokens to a validator participating in the staking contest. By doing so — you’ll receive a 10% bonus distributed to all stakers and delegators who participate — on top of native staking rewards.
If you’re not eligible for the Season 1 distribution, don’t worry. Future seasons will reward meaningful contributions across:
- Protocol governance
- App and tooling development
- Node operations and infrastructure support
- Community engagement and education
Season 2 is already underway, and contributors who are active today will be eligible for future distributions as Lit continues to expand.

Following the TGE, the staking contest will begin, determining the genesis validator set for the upcoming Lit v1 Mainnet (Naga) launch. The claim period for the airdrop ends on 12/31/2025 at 11:59 UTC.
