Announcing the Lit Staking Contest Results
The Lit Protocol Staking contest results are in! The community has selected the 8 node operators that are going to run the v1 Naga Mainnet.
Even though the contest is over, you can always stake your tokens for rewards via the Lit Staking Dashboard and help secure the Lit Protocol Network.
The community selected the following 8 nodes as operators in the v1 Naga Mainnet
Each operator is a known party, and due to the threshold nature of Lit Protocol's system, each operator can only run 1 node. We intend to run more staking contests in the future as we scale and require more node operators, via our Realms and Shadow Splicing mechanism.
The next step is the v1 Naga Mainnet launch. Stay tuned for updates on this upcoming launch, which will bring a number of new features to Lit Protocol:
- A new, much faster and more scalable threshold algorithm for ECDSA signing
- Support for a large number of new threshold signing schemes and curves, detailed in our docs. This brings support for Lit threshold signing to every popular blockchain.
- Many improvements in robustness, reliability, and scaling
- A new simplified payment model
- A new Javascript SDK (v8) that simplifies working with auth, payment, and all Lit products
- Support for securely migrating the keys from the v0 Datil Mainnet. Naga should be fully ready for you to migrate your apps in the coming months.
- Lit Action keys, which brings verifiable compute to every Lit Action
