Fast Company Selects Lit Protocol as Honoree For World Changing Idea Award

Hello friends,

I am thrilled to share the incredible news that Lit has been recognized by Fast Company as a "World Changing Idea". I am deeply grateful for the hard work and dedication of our talented team, our partners, and the amazing community of builders who share our mission. This recognition shines a light on the incredible efforts of everyone involved - thank you all!

Our journey began when my co-founder, Chris, and I noticed that there was something missing in the world of NFTs. We saw an opportunity to create a more immersive and interactive experience for users, and this led us to the groundbreaking idea of Lit.

In 2021, we envisioned NFT galleries as metaverse lobbies, where each NFT could be a portal to amazing experiences and content. As we explored this idea, we realized that we needed a way to ensure that these unlockable NFTs could stand the test of time. That's when we asked, "Where does the key live?"

The answer: a distributed network that stores keys securely and efficiently. And so, Lit was born.

Since then, we have discovered that the potential of web3 identity as a service via distributed key management goes far beyond unlockable NFTs. We have been fortunate to work with an incredible group of partners and builders who are using Lit's distributed service for a wide range of applications, from privacy-focused web3 social platforms and data marketplaces to signing and authorization for seamless user onboarding, DeFi automation, and content provenance.

As we continue to expand the network and prepare for the mainnet launch, we are excited about the future of Lit and the possibilities it holds for creating a more open, secure, decentralized, and human-centered web. Thank you for being a part of our journey.

If you're building in web3, we would be delighted to connect with you. Reach out to us on Twitter, Discord, or right here.
